Macu's Gourmet Cookies (“we,” “us”) is a small-batch home bakery. This policy explains what information we collect when you place an order, why we collect it, and how we keep it safe. We only collect what we need to bake and deliver your order — nothing more.

What we collect

When you place an order, we ask for:

• Your name — so we know whose order it is.
• Phone number — to reach you about your order.
• Email address — to send your order confirmation and updates.
• Delivery address — only if you choose delivery, so we can bring your cookies to you.
• Your order details — the items, quantities, date, and payment method you selected.
• A payment screenshot — the proof-of-payment image you upload after paying by CBE, Telebirr, or Zelle.

We do not use analytics, advertising trackers, or third-party tracking cookies. The only cookie we set is a login cookie for the private admin dashboard, which customers never see.

How we use it

• To confirm, prepare, and fulfill your order.
• To contact you about your order (confirmation, questions, pickup or delivery details).
• To confirm your payment against the screenshot you send.
• To keep a simple record of past orders so we can serve returning customers.

We never sell, rent, or trade your information to anyone.

Payments

We do not process card payments or store any card numbers. Payment is made directly through your own CBE, Telebirr, or Zelle app, and you simply send us a screenshot as proof. We only ever see that screenshot — never your banking login or full account details.

Where your information is stored

Order details are stored securely in our database, and payment screenshots are kept in private storage that only Macda can access through the password-protected admin dashboard. To run the site we rely on a few trusted service providers — a database and file-storage host, an email service to send your confirmations, and a website host — who process this data only on our behalf.

How long we keep it

We keep order and customer records for as long as needed to run the bakery and honor returning-customer history. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see below).

Your choices

You can ask us to see, correct, or delete the information we hold about you. Just reach out via Instagram at @macus_gourmet or reply to any order email, and we'll take care of it.

Children

Our site is intended for adults placing orders. We don't knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we'll change the “last updated” date above. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
